PokerStars WCOOP Event 8 - Well Done Rayan Nathan (rkruok) by Card Academy Admin

Card Academy member Rayan Nathan (rkruok) takes 3rd in the PokerStars WCOOP Event 8 - $530 Omaha HiLo...

Rayan Nathan has once again proved he is one of the best players in Australia by battling through a field of 917 players who put up $530 in WCOOP Omaha HiLo event to have a great shot at winning a bracelet. He went into the final table in need of some chips and started showing aggression from the offset to find himself with the chip lead when they got down to 6 handed.

With almost $500 000 in the prize pool and alot of money on offer for the final 6 talks of a deal begun. Being a limit tournament and with a large difference between 1st and 3rd prizes all players were happy to chop up the prizes except for 'SSSHIP_IT who wanted more than what the chip counts allowed for. Stating he 'was 'the 2nd best Omaha HiLo  player in the world' he put forward his case as to why he should get more money. The rest of the players rejected his proposal and play resumed with him being eliminated in 6th spot.

The 5 remaining players then decided to split the money according to chip counts with Rayan's share being $49 680. They agreed to leabe $25k or so for the winner of the tourny and they proceeded to play it out. Rayan ended up busting out in 3rd position after playing for over 12 hours which was a fantastic effort.

Congratulations Rayan Nathan!
